A New Polarity Theatre at 727-729 Howard Street, Evanston

Proposed theater design: one story version.

Proposed theater design: two story version.

Polarity artistic director Richard Engling was recently interviewed about why the proposed new Polarity Ensemble Theatre on Howard Street would be worthy of consideration as an Evanston 150 project.

(Evanston150 is a community-wide initiative seeking 10 visionary ideas to celebrate Evanston's 150th anniversary in 2013).

What You Can Do

Polarity Ensemble Theatre is working to transform the storefronts at 727-729 Howard Street into an exciting new performance venue at Evanston's southern border (scroll down to see photos and preliminary drawings).

Please join us as a volunteer and/or come to our summer benefit! Our current challenges include completing a feasibility study, planning a capital campaign, grant research and writing, and perfecting our business plan. We need help in these areas and other areas, including project management.

Email our board president Mark Mathyer about volunteering.
