Managing Director Business Manager Our Performance Space Sign up to receive audition news and opportunities for directors, playwrights, designers, etc. Managing Director Polarity Ensemble Theatre seeks a Managing Director to direct and supervise day-to-day administrative activity including: Fundraising, Audience Development, Business and Financial Management, Production Support, and Education. The Managing Director works with the Artistic Director, Board and company members to create and execute long-term marketing and fundraising strategies, strengthen and enhance the organization's administrative operations in support of the Theatre's artistic goals and delineate clear lines of responsibility and communication within the organization. Polarity seeks a seasoned leader and creative thinker, able to work closely and in partnership with the company to help ensure our future success. The chosen candidate will demonstrate strong leadership acumen, exhibit effective organizational and solid interpersonal skills – including a track record for leading, managing and developing a team, have a firm understanding of management processes, have excellent budgetary skills and possess outgoing and proactive community-building skills. The position offers a modest stipend. The position will be filled on a yearly contractual basis. There will be a six month review during the first two years.
